📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire software engineering organisation, overseeing multiple engineering teams, managers, and technical functions.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's product roadmap and multi-year business objectives.
• Partner with the CTO on technology architecture decisions and with the CEO and board on engineering investment, hiring plans, and capability roadmaps.
• Drive engineering culture initiatives including developer experience, engineering excellence standards, and organisational health across all engineering teams.
• Own the engineering hiring roadmap, setting targets for team growth, ensuring quality of technical hiring, and building leadership depth within the organisation.
• Establish and govern engineering processes including release management, incident response standards, and technical debt investment frameworks.
• Represent engineering perspectives in executive leadership discussions, providing transparent reporting on delivery status, quality, and team health.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or MBA with fourteen to twenty-five years of software engineering experience including five or more years in senior engineering leadership.
• Demonstrated experience leading and scaling engineering organisations of thirty or more engineers across multiple product teams.
• Strong technical credibility: sufficient architectural depth to evaluate technology strategy choices and provide meaningful guidance to engineering leads.
• Track record of building high-performance engineering cultures that retain top talent and deliver complex product programmes reliably.
• Experience managing multi-million rupee engineering budgets including headcount planning, tooling investment, and infrastructure cost governance.
• Proven executive stakeholder management ability including board reporting, investor communication, and cross-functional leadership alignment.
• Experience navigating rapid organisational growth, engineering team restructuring, and technical platform modernisation initiatives.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
