📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fitting, welding, lathe, carpentry, and sheet metal practice sessions for diploma students in manufacturing workshop labs
• Operate and demonstrate machine tools including centre lathe, milling machine, drilling machine, and bench grinder
• Maintain all workshop tools, machines, and equipment in safe and serviceable condition
• Enforce workshop safety rules, ensure proper PPE use, and prevent accidents during student practical sessions
• Prepare raw material, job pieces, and tools for each practical session in advance
• Assess student workshop records and practical performance and assist in practical examination conduct
• Coordinate with maintenance staff for machine lubrication, repair, and preventive maintenance

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI in Machinist, Fitter, Welder, or Turner trade from a recognized institution
• 1 - 5 Years of workshop or manufacturing industry experience
• Hands-on proficiency in lathe, welding (arc and gas), fitting, carpentry, and sheet metal work
• Knowledge of machine tool operation and workshop safety standards
• NCVT trade certificate preferred
• Ability to demonstrate and explain practical operations clearly to diploma students
• Experience in a foundry, machine shop, or toolroom is a strong advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
