📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of aerospace machined parts and assemblies to drawing and specification
• Conduct first article inspections to AS9102 and prepare balloon drawings and FAI data packages
• Use CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensional compliance
• Write non-conformance reports, initiate material review board dispositions, and track corrective actions to closure
• Review control plans, inspection plans, and process flow documents for adequacy and AS9100 compliance
• Participate in supplier quality audits and assess incoming parts from supply chain partners
• Maintain calibration records for inspection instruments and ensure gauge recall schedules are followed

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D quality system requirements?
• Are you experienced in performing first article inspections to AS9102 standard including balloon drawing preparation?
• Can you operate a CMM or use manual measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges accurately?
• Do you have experience writing non-conformance reports and managing corrective and preventive action records?
• Are you comfortable reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD and T tolerances per ASME Y14.5?
• Have you participated in internal or supplier quality audits in an aerospace manufacturing environment?
• Are you familiar with calibration management, gauge recall scheduling, and MSA procedures for inspection equipment?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
