📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-flight, transit, and overnight checks on assigned aircraft types at Chennai airport in accordance with the approved maintenance programme and aircraft maintenance manual
• Identify and rectify line maintenance defects within authorized maintenance release limits and ensure each aircraft is returned to service with a signed technical log entry
• Raise maintenance discrepancy reports for defects that exceed line maintenance limits and coordinate with the base maintenance facility for deferred defect management
• Assist the flight crew with technical log entries, MEL (minimum equipment list) application, and pre-flight walk-around coordination for departing flights
• Calibrate and service aircraft ground support equipment including hydraulic rigs, pneumatic servicing equipment, and engine test equipment used in line maintenance activities
• Maintain an accurate and complete aircraft technical log for all line maintenance activities including inspection sign-offs, defect entries, and consumable replenishments
• Ensure continuing airworthiness compliance for all aircraft under line maintenance care and report any suspected unreported damage or airworthiness concern to the quality and DGCA reporting system
• Coordinate with the aircraft operator's maintenance control centre for technical clearances, spares requests, and escalation of aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations at Chennai airport

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence in the applicable aircraft category (Cat A or Cat B1 or Cat B2)
• 1 - 5 Years of experience in aircraft line maintenance at a CAMO or MRO organization approved by DGCA
• Valid type training on the specific aircraft type being maintained as required for certification of maintenance and issue of CRS (Certificate of Release to Service)
• Sound knowledge of the applicable aircraft maintenance manual, fault isolation manual, and minimum equipment list for the assigned aircraft type
• Familiarity with DGCA airworthiness regulations, CAMO continuing airworthiness documentation requirements, and aircraft technical log compliance
• Ability to work independently during night shift line maintenance and early morning pre-flight checks with proper tool control and FOD prevention discipline
• Valid AVSEC certification and a valid APOC airport entry pass for access to aircraft parking positions and maintenance zones at Chennai airport
