📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist departing and arriving passengers in the terminal with directions, boarding gate information, check-in counter locations, and general airport navigation in English and Tamil
• Coordinate wheelchair services for passengers with reduced mobility including advance request confirmation, wheelchair allocation, and escort from check-in to the boarding gate
• Provide meet and greet services for CIP, VIP, and corporate passengers as arranged by the ground handling company or airline for designated flights
• Handle lost and found enquiries from passengers at the customer service desk and coordinate with the baggage handling team and airport lost property office for tracing and returning items
• Assist passengers affected by flight delays or diversions with information, comfort coordination, and communication of updated departure times in collaboration with the airline duty manager
• Handle passenger complaints regarding baggage, service quality, or airline communication and escalate unresolved complaints to the duty manager for further action
• Provide passenger assistance for unaccompanied minors by meeting, escorting, verifying authorizations, and handing over to the designated receiving adult at the arrival terminal
• Prepare daily customer service activity reports covering service requests handled, complaint types, wheelchair movements, and VIP meet and greet counts for the customer service manager

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree from a recognized institution in any stream
• 0 - 3 Years of experience in airport customer service, airline passenger assistance, or hospitality; freshers with good communication are considered
• Valid AVSEC certification and eligibility to obtain a valid APOC airport entry pass for terminal and airside access
• Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil for passenger assistance, complaint handling, and airline coordination
• Pleasant and patient demeanour with the ability to manage stressed or anxious passengers during delays, diversions, or lost baggage situations
• Willingness to work rotating shifts covering all departure and arrival peaks across the day, night, and weekend flight schedule at Chennai airport
• Knowledge of Chennai airport terminal layout, check-in zones, and boarding gate areas to provide accurate and confident passenger directions
