📌 Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and therapeutic percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI, stenting)
- Conduct trans-thoracic and trans-oesophageal echocardiography for cardiac function and structural assessment
- Manage cardiac device implantation including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices
- Conduct electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation for arrhythmias including AF, SVT, and VT
- Manage acute MI patients through STEMI protocol with primary PCI within door-to-balloon targets
- Participate in Heart Team discussions for complex revascularization and structural heart interventions
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS + MD Internal Medicine + DM Cardiology or DNB Cardiology from a recognized institution
- 4 - 15 Years of post-DM clinical cardiology experience
- TNMC registration mandatory
- Interventional cardiology skills (coronary angiography, PCI) are strongly preferred for hospital consultant roles
- Echocardiography competency mandatory; advanced echo (3D echo, stress echo, TOE) preferred
- Device implantation (pacemaker, ICD) experience preferred
- Fellowship from a recognized cardiac centre in India or abroad is highly valued
