📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise or assist container stuffing operations at the CFS for export LCL consignments by coordinating cargo receipt, tally, and stuffing sequence
• Manage container destuffing operations for import LCL consignments including cargo unloading, tally, and delivery order processing for consignee release
• Operate the CFS gate management system for container gate-in and gate-out entries, weight recording, and customs notification updates
• Administer customs bond documentation for cargo held in the CFS including warehousing bonds, duty deferment registers, and custodian-wise cargo records
• Coordinate with customs officers for LCL container examination, stuffing supervision, and out-of-charge after duty payment for import consignments
• Report cargo damage found during stuffing or destuffing with photographic evidence and coordinate with the surveyor and insurance team for damage assessment
• Update SFIS (sea freight IT system) or the CFS operations platform with container status, cargo tally, and delivery details for real-time visibility
• Prepare daily CFS operations MIS covering containers stuffed, destuffed, in custody, delivered, and pending customs clearance for the operations manager

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized institution
• 0 - 3 Years of experience in CFS operations, container freight station, or logistics operations; freshers with customs or logistics training considered
• Basic knowledge of LCL container stuffing and destuffing procedures, cargo tally processes, and CFS gate management systems
• Familiarity with customs bond administration for CFS licensed custodians and the documentation required for cargo storage and delivery
• Understanding of customs examination procedures for LCL import cargo at a CFS and the role of the CFS custodian in the clearance process
• Good attention to detail for cargo tally accuracy and damage documentation during stuffing and destuffing operations
• Willingness to work in CFS yard and shed environments including outdoor container yard areas in Chennai's port industrial zones
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
