📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the factory EHS programme including daily safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action tracking
• Manage the ESD control programme including periodic audit of ESD workstations, wrist strap testing, and ESD training for production staff
• Coordinate fire safety systems maintenance including fire extinguisher servicing, fire drill conduct, and fire panel inspection
• Handle hazardous waste disposal for solder dross, flux residues, and chemical waste as per Pollution Control Board regulations
• Investigate near-miss and accident incidents, prepare investigation reports, and follow up on corrective action closure
• Maintain EHS statutory records including Form 25, accident registers, and factory licence compliance documents
• Conduct EHS induction training for new employees and periodic refresher training for production staff
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system audits by preparing EHS documentation and evidence

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or Diploma in any Engineering discipline; a safety diploma or ADIS/PDIS qualification is an advantage
• Experience in factory EHS implementation in an electronics or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ESD control programme standards - ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340-5-1
• Familiarity with fire safety systems, first aid, and emergency response procedures
• Understanding of Tamilnadu Factories Act compliance requirements and statutory EHS registers
• Basic knowledge of hazardous waste classification and disposal requirements under the Environment Protection Act
• Good communication skills for delivering safety training and presenting EHS metrics to management
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
