📌 Key Responsibilities
- Lead new product introduction activities from design handover to production readiness for electronics assemblies
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Test) reviews with hardware and PCB design engineers
- Coordinate first prototype builds on the SMT and assembly line, document build issues, and drive resolution with design and process teams
- Validate engineering BOM against procurement BOM and resolve component discrepancies before production release
- Lead first article inspection (FAI) activities and compile FAI report for customer review and approval
- Develop production work instructions, traveller documents, and test procedures for new products
- Track NPI project schedule, highlight risks to programme management, and coordinate cross-functional actions to hit production transfer milestones
- Train production operators and quality inspectors on new product assembly and inspection requirements before volume production launch
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Minimum two years of NPI or product launch experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting DFM and DFT reviews and communicating design change requirements to engineering teams
- Hands-on prototype build supervision experience including SMT, through-hole, and functional test phases
- Familiarity with BOM validation, ECO management, and engineering change control processes
- Ability to write production-ready work instructions and travellers from engineering design documents
- Strong project coordination skills to manage cross-functional NPI teams and track milestone schedules
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
