📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of electronic components including ICs, passive components, connectors, and PCBs from approved vendor list
• Process purchase orders in the ERP system and track delivery schedules against production material requirements
• Coordinate with vendors on lead time, shortage escalation, and alternative component identification when parts are on allocation
• Maintain and update BOM (Bill of Materials) records and ensure component specifications match engineering BOM
• Verify that procured components comply with RoHS and customer-specific material restrictions
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors, compare techno-commercial offers, and recommend best-value sourcing decisions
• Manage incoming inspection coordination for components and resolve discrepancy notes with vendors
• Prepare weekly material status reports for production planning and highlight critical shortages to management

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline or B.E. in ECE or EEE
• Experience in procurement or materials management in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read electronic component datasheets and BOMs to identify equivalent components
• Familiarity with ERP systems for purchase order processing and material tracking
• Knowledge of RoHS compliance requirements for electronic component procurement
• Good negotiation and vendor communication skills
• Organised with the ability to track multiple purchase orders and follow up on delivery commitments
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
