📌 Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy for peptic ulcers, oesophageal varices, and upper GI bleeding
- Conduct colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening, polyp removal, and IBD assessment
- Perform ERCP for bile duct stones, strictures, and pancreatic duct interventions
- Conduct endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for GI tumour staging and pancreatic lesion evaluation
- Manage liver diseases including cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, NAFLD, and acute liver failure
- Diagnose and treat inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) with biologic therapies
- Perform endoscopic haemostasis for variceal bleeding, ulcer bleeding, and Dieulafoy lesions
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS + MD Internal Medicine + DM Gastroenterology or DNB Gastroenterology from a recognized institution
- 4 - 14 Years of post-DM gastroenterology and hepatology clinical experience
- TNMC registration mandatory
- Diagnostic endoscopy (UGI, colonoscopy) and therapeutic endoscopy competency
- ERCP and EUS experience preferred for comprehensive GI programmes
- Hepatology and liver transplant experience preferred for transplant hospitals
- IBD and biologic therapy experience preferred
