📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for General Physician positions in Chennai private hospitals. This role is with a leading multi-speciality or super-speciality hospital in Chennai. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage inpatients and OPD patients with general medicine, febrile illness, and acute medical conditions
• Diagnose and treat chronic diseases including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and thyroid disorders
• Manage acute presentations of sepsis, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, acute kidney injury, and decompensated liver disease
• Perform general ward rounds twice daily, review investigation reports, and update treatment plans
• Conduct bedside procedures including pleural aspiration, ascitic tap, and bone marrow biopsy
• Refer complex cases to appropriate super-specialists and coordinate multi-disciplinary care
• Supervise junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff in clinical care quality and documentation

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS + MD Internal Medicine, MD General Medicine, or DNB General Medicine from a recognized medical college
• 3 - 10 Years of post-MD clinical experience in internal medicine
• TNMC (Tamil Nadu Medical Council) registration mandatory for clinical practice in Chennai
• Strong clinical reasoning for acute and chronic medical illness management
• ICU experience and critical care competencies preferred for hospital consultant roles
• Good communication skills for patient counselling in Tamil and English
• Willingness to participate in on-call and emergency rosters
