📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for General Surgeon positions in Chennai private hospitals. This role is with a leading multi-speciality or super-speciality hospital in Chennai. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform laparoscopic and open surgical procedures for appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and GI resections
• Conduct thyroid, parathyroid, breast, and soft tissue surgical procedures
• Manage acute surgical emergencies including bowel obstruction, perforations, and abdominal trauma
• Conduct OPD clinics for pre-operative evaluation, post-operative follow-up, and new patient assessment
• Perform colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and proctoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic indications
• Manage inpatient surgical cases, prescribe post-operative care, and supervise resident doctors
• Participate in tumor board meetings for surgical decision-making in cancer cases

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS + MS General Surgery or DNB General Surgery from a recognized institution
• 3 - 12 Years of post-MS clinical surgical experience
• TNMC registration mandatory
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery: appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and GI laparoscopy
• Advanced laparoscopic or MIS fellowship preferred for senior surgeon roles
• Endoscopy skills (UGI, colonoscopy) are a significant advantage
• Willingness to participate in emergency surgery on-call roster
