📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the ramp, baggage handling, and passenger services team for all assigned flights during the shift and ensure each aircraft turn-around is completed within the airline's agreed SLA time
• Brief the ground handling team before each shift on flight schedule, special flights, VIP passengers, unusual load, and any safety or procedural updates from the airline or airport authority
• Coordinate all ground handling activities for each flight including check-in counter opening, baggage loading sequence, passenger boarding, and aircraft departure clearance
• Monitor and manage ground support equipment deployment and availability to ensure belt loaders, tow tractors, and baggage carts are positioned and serviceable for every assigned flight
• Investigate and document ramp incidents, baggage mishandling events, and passenger service failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Communicate directly with the airline duty manager on turn-around status, delays, equipment issues, and any irregular operations affecting the flight schedule
• Manage shift staffing levels by coordinating cover for absentees and reallocating team members across flights during peak periods to maintain SLA compliance
• Prepare shift handover reports and submit daily operations summary to the ground handling operations manager covering flight performance, incidents, and staffing notes

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree from a recognized institution in any stream
• 2 - 6 Years of experience in airport ground handling, ramp operations, or passenger services with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role
• Valid AVSEC certification and a valid APOC airport entry pass for all airside and terminal zone supervisory responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a ground handling team across ramp and passenger services functions and meet airline SLA targets under shift conditions
• Knowledge of aircraft turn-around procedures, ramp safety rules, and SLA performance metrics for domestic and international airline operations
• Good communication and leadership skills for team briefing, airline duty manager coordination, and shift incident management
• Willingness to work as the shift-in-charge for the full ground handling operation during assigned shift windows, including night and weekend shifts at Chennai airport
