📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Lab Technician positions in Chennai private hospitals. This role is with a leading multi-speciality or super-speciality hospital in Chennai. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency clinical laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis departments
• Operate automated analyzers (Beckman Coulter, Sysmex, Roche Cobas) for CBC, LFT, RFT, and electrolyte testing
• Process blood cultures, urine cultures, and sensitivity testing per CLSI microbiological guidelines
• Prepare blood components and maintain blood bank records per NBTC blood bank guidelines
• Perform quality control procedures including IQC and EQA to ensure test accuracy and precision
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and report equipment malfunctions
• Report critical values immediately to the treating doctor as per lab critical value policy

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or DMLT from an NABL-recognized institution
• 1 - 4 Years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic centre
• Proficiency in operating hematology, biochemistry, and urinalysis analyzers
• Knowledge of NABL quality standards, IQC, EQA, and pre-analytical error prevention
• Experience with blood bank procedures preferred for hospital lab roles
• Good technical documentation and result reporting skills
• BLS certification preferred
