📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the private shipping or port services company as the top executive with full P and L responsibility across all business verticals, trade lanes, and geographic operations
• Set and execute the company's long-term strategic direction including market expansion, service portfolio development, technology investment, and acquisition or partnership strategy
• Manage the board of directors, investors, and lenders with transparent financial reporting, capital allocation proposals, and strategic performance updates
• Own the company's most important client relationships including key shipping line principals, major port operators, and strategic cargo accounts at the board level
• Lead the senior executive team including heads of commercial, operations, finance, legal, and technology and build organizational capability for growth and resilience
• Drive business development for new stevedoring, CFS, ship chandling, or shipping agency contracts through personal relationships and commercial leadership
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance across all operations including customs, DGFT, DG Shipping, port authority, and company law requirements
• Represent the company in shipping industry associations, chamber of commerce forums, and government consultations on port and maritime policy in India

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA from a premier institution or a Master Mariner or equivalent maritime qualification with proven commercial and leadership track record
• 18 - 30 Years of experience in shipping, port services, or maritime operations with at least 10 years in a CEO, MD, COO, or equivalent leadership role
• Demonstrated track record of running a private shipping company, stevedoring firm, CFS operator, or port services business at scale
• Strong board and investor management experience in a privately held or funded maritime enterprise
• Deep expertise in maritime business economics including shipping line agency models, stevedoring contracts, CFS licensing, and port concession structures
• Proven ability to build and lead executive teams and drive organizational transformation in a complex maritime regulatory environment
• Extensive industry network spanning shipping lines, port authorities, DG Shipping, customs administration, and the broader Indian maritime ecosystem
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
