📌 Key Responsibilities

• Verify and process merchant KYC documents including GST certificate, PAN, cancelled cheque, and business registration
• Assess merchant business type, category, and risk level to determine onboarding eligibility
• Configure merchant accounts on the payment gateway platform and assign appropriate MCC codes and settlement cycles
• Coordinate with the compliance and risk teams for enhanced due diligence of high-risk merchant categories
• Follow up with merchants on pending documentation and resolve onboarding queries through phone and email
• Maintain accurate records of onboarding status, document submissions, and approval timelines in the CRM
• Meet daily and weekly merchant onboarding volume targets and SLA compliance metrics

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or any stream from a recognized institution
• 0 - 3 Years of experience in merchant onboarding, banking KYC, or operations in a payment or fintech company
• Knowledge of RBI merchant category codes, payment gateway onboarding requirements, and KYC documentation norms
• Familiarity with GST registration, business entity types, and corporate document verification for merchant eligibility
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil for merchant interaction during the onboarding process
• Comfort with CRM tools and the ability to manage multiple merchant onboarding cases simultaneously
• Attention to detail to identify documentation inconsistencies that indicate fraud or compliance risk
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
