📌 Key Responsibilities
- Manage premature and critically ill neonates in the Level III NICU for respiratory, metabolic, and infectious complications
- Provide neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room and stabilize extremely preterm infants at birth
- Manage neonatal respiratory distress syndrome with surfactant therapy and mechanical ventilation (HFOV, CMV)
- Establish central venous access, umbilical arterial/venous catheters, and exchange transfusions
- Prescribe and monitor total parenteral nutrition for premature infants unable to tolerate enteral feeds
- Diagnose and manage neonatal jaundice, neonatal sepsis, HIE, and congenital metabolic disorders
- Coordinate discharge planning, parent counselling, and follow-up for high-risk NICU graduates
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS + MD Pediatrics + IAP Fellowship in Neonatology or DNB Neonatology / FNB Neonatology
- 4 - 14 Years of post-fellowship neonatology experience
- TNMC registration mandatory
- Competency in neonatal mechanical ventilation (SIMV, HFOV), CPAP, and surfactant administration
- Experience managing ELBW (Extremely Low Birth Weight) infants below 1000 grams
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) instructor preferred
- Experience with neonatal transport and outreach neonatology services preferred
