📌 Key Responsibilities
- Perform phacoemulsification cataract surgery with IOL implantation including advanced multifocal and toric IOLs
- Conduct comprehensive eye examination including slit lamp, tonometry, fundoscopy, and visual field assessment
- Diagnose and manage retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, and retinal detachment
- Perform LASIK, LASEK, SMILE, and surface ablation refractive surgery for myopia correction
- Manage glaucoma with medical, laser (SLT, laser PI), and surgical interventions (trabeculectomy, MIGS)
- Conduct cornea evaluation, manage corneal ulcers, and perform corneal transplantation (PK, DSAEK, DMEK)
- Manage paediatric eye conditions including amblyopia, strabismus, and paediatric glaucoma
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS + MS Ophthalmology, DNB Ophthalmology, or Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) from a recognized institution
- 3 - 12 Years of post-MS ophthalmology experience
- TNMC registration mandatory
- Phacoemulsification surgery competency mandatory
- Retina/vitreoretinal surgery, LASIK, or glaucoma subspeciality training preferred for senior consultant roles
