📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Ophthalmologist positions in Chennai private hospitals. This role is with a leading multi-speciality or super-speciality hospital in Chennai. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform phacoemulsification cataract surgery with IOL implantation including advanced multifocal and toric IOLs
• Conduct comprehensive eye examination including slit lamp, tonometry, fundoscopy, and visual field assessment
• Diagnose and manage retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, and retinal detachment
• Perform LASIK, LASEK, SMILE, and surface ablation refractive surgery for myopia correction
• Manage glaucoma with medical, laser (SLT, laser PI), and surgical interventions (trabeculectomy, MIGS)
• Conduct cornea evaluation, manage corneal ulcers, and perform corneal transplantation (PK, DSAEK, DMEK)
• Manage paediatric eye conditions including amblyopia, strabismus, and paediatric glaucoma

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS + MS Ophthalmology, DNB Ophthalmology, or Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) from a recognized institution
• 3 - 12 Years of post-MS ophthalmology experience
• TNMC registration mandatory
• Phacoemulsification surgery competency mandatory
• Retina/vitreoretinal surgery, LASIK, or glaucoma subspeciality training preferred for senior consultant roles
• Fellowship from a recognized eye institute (AIIMS, Sankara Nethralaya, LV Prasad Eye Institute) strongly valued
• OCT, FFA, and A/B scan imaging interpretation competency
