📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist passengers at the check-in counter and airport terminal with baggage drop, seat selection, and boarding card issuance using the airline's departure control system (DCS)
• Manage boarding gate operations including verifying boarding cards, scanning documents, and overseeing orderly boarding of passengers for each assigned flight
• Assist passengers with reduced mobility, unaccompanied minors, and special needs passengers with dedicated airport escort, wheelchair coordination, and priority boarding facilitation
• Make flight announcements at the gate and in the terminal for boarding calls, delays, gate changes, and general passenger information in English and Tamil
• Handle passengers affected by flight delays or cancellations by providing accurate information, coordinating with the airline duty manager, and managing passenger expectations
• Verify passenger travel documents including passport, visa, and boarding card at the gate to ensure only eligible passengers board the aircraft
• Coordinate with the ramp team, load controller, and check-in supervisor on final passenger count, baggage weight reconciliation, and gate closure timing
• Complete gate reports for each flight including boarding time, number of passengers, offloaded bags, and any notable passenger assistance incidents

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree from a recognized institution in any stream
• 0 - 3 Years of experience in passenger services, airline ground handling, or airport customer service; freshers with aviation knowledge and good communication are considered
• Valid AVSEC certification and eligibility to obtain a valid APOC airport pass for airside and terminal restricted area access
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil for passenger interaction, flight announcements, and coordination with airline staff and ground teams
• Presentable appearance and professional demeanour to represent the ground handling company in passenger-facing roles at Chennai airport
• Basic knowledge of DCS airline check-in system or willingness to learn the system during induction training provided by the employer
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including early morning, late night, and weekend operations across the full flight schedule at Chennai airport
