📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Report surgical histopathology specimens from OT including malignant tumours, resection margins, and benign lesions
  • Perform and report FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology) of thyroid, lymph nodes, and breast lesions
  • Conduct intraoperative frozen section for immediate surgical guidance on margin status and lesion nature
  • Perform and interpret immunohistochemistry (IHC) panels for tumour classification and predictive marker assessment
  • Manage clinical hematology including peripheral smear reporting, BMA/biopsy, and lymphoma classification
  • Supervise laboratory quality management, NABL accreditation compliance, and technical staff
  • Participate in tumour board with clinicians to correlate pathology with clinical and imaging findings

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBBS + MD Pathology or DNB Pathology from a recognized institution
  • 3 - 12 Years of post-MD pathology reporting experience
  • TNMC registration mandatory
  • Competency in histopathology, cytopathology, and FNAC reporting
  • IHC panel interpretation for common solid tumours (breast, lung, GI, lymphoma)
