📌 Key Responsibilities

• Create and update PCB layouts from schematics using Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro
• Define board stack-up, impedance requirements, and design rules in consultation with hardware design engineers
• Route single and multi-layer PCBs with attention to signal integrity, EMI, and thermal management
• Generate and verify Gerber files, drill files, and assembly outputs for PCB fabrication and assembly vendors
• Conduct design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to ensure error-free design release
• Collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineers on board-level form factor and connector placement
• Review PCB footprints and create new component footprints and 3D models in the PCB tool library
• Support prototype bring-up by reviewing assembly issues and implementing ECO changes quickly

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Proficiency in Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro PCB design tools
• Experience in multi-layer PCB layout including controlled impedance and differential pair routing
• Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) guidelines for PCB fabrication and SMT assembly
• Knowledge of IPC-2221 PCB design standards and PCB material selection basics
• Ability to generate complete Gerber and assembly output packages for vendor submission
• Good coordination skills to work with hardware engineers and PCB fabrication vendors
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
