📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaty arrangements for life or general insurance portfolio
• Process facultative reinsurance for large and complex risks exceeding treaty capacity
• Prepare cession statements, premium bordereaux, and loss bordereaux for treaty reinsurers
• Coordinate reinsurance recoveries on large claims from treaty and facultative reinsurers
• Monitor IRDAI reinsurance regulations including mandatory cession to GIC Re
• Maintain reinsurance program documentation, treaty slips, and correspondence with reinsurers
• Prepare reinsurance performance reports including combined ratio, treaty loss development, and commissions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Com/MBA in Finance or FIII from Insurance Institute of India with 3-8 years reinsurance experience
• Good understanding of proportional (quota share, surplus) and non-proportional (XL, stop loss) treaty structures
• Knowledge of IRDAI reinsurance regulations and mandatory GIC Re cession requirements
• Experience preparing cession statements, bordereaux, and reinsurance accounts
• Familiarity with Lloyd's market, international reinsurers (Munich Re, Swiss Re, Gen Re) and local brokers
• Strong analytical skills for treaty performance monitoring and loss development analysis
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for reinsurer correspondence
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
