📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys for motor accident, fire, marine, and engineering insurance claims
• Assess quantum of loss and determine repair or replacement cost for damaged property and vehicles
• Inspect accident scenes, fire-damaged properties, and flooded machinery for accurate loss quantification
• Verify insured's policy coverage, sum insured adequacy, and applicability of exclusions
• Prepare detailed survey reports with photographic evidence, loss computation, and recommendation
• Coordinate with insurance companies, policyholders, and repairers for efficient claim settlement
• Renew IRDAI surveyor license annually and complete mandatory CPE requirements

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering
• IRDAI Licensed Surveyor and Loss Assessor certificate (mandatory)
• 2 - 7 Years of experience in motor, fire, or engineering loss assessment
• Good knowledge of vehicle repair costs, construction rates, and machinery replacement values
• Proficiency in preparing survey reports with supporting calculation sheets
• Willingness to travel across Chennai and Tamil Nadu for on-site surveys
• Membership of Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors (IIISLA) preferred
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
