📌 Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and surgically manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary calculi, and uro-oncology cases
- Perform TURP, TURBT, and laser procedures (HoLEP, GreenLight) for BPH and bladder tumour management
- Conduct ureteroscopy (URS), PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy), and laparoscopic stone procedures
- Manage uro-oncology cases including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and testicular tumours
- Perform laparoscopic urology including pyeloplasty, radical nephrectomy, and partial nephrectomy
- Participate in renal transplant programme as harvesting and implanting surgeon
- Perform robotic urological surgery using Da Vinci system for prostatectomy and nephrectomy
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS + MS General Surgery + MCh Urology or DNB Urology from a recognized institution
- 4 - 14 Years of post-MCh urology clinical experience
- TNMC registration mandatory
- Endourology competency (URS, PCNL, TURP) mandatory
- Laparoscopic and robotic urology training preferred for senior consultant roles
- Renal transplant experience preferred for hospitals with transplant programmes
- Uro-oncology fellowship or training from a recognized centre preferred
