📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach BDS and MDS students periodontal diagnosis, treatment planning, and non-surgical therapy
• Conduct and supervise periodontal surgical procedures including flap surgery, osseous surgery, and regenerative procedures
• Manage clinical periodontic OPD cases and supervise student-led scaling and root planing sessions
• Deliver lectures on the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic conditions
• Guide MDS dissertation research in periodontology and co-supervise clinical case series
• Participate in departmental academic meetings, curriculum development, and internal examination duties
• Publish research in indexed periodontal journals and present at state and national conferences

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MDS in Periodontology from a DCI-recognised institution
• DCI registration and assistant professor eligibility as per DCI norms
• 3 to 8 years of post-MDS periodontal clinical and teaching experience
• Competence in both non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy
• Experience in student supervision in a clinical periodontal posting
• Research publications in periodontology or implant dentistry preferred
• Awareness of implant dentistry and laser applications in periodontics is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
