📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate POS billing software to generate accurate guest bills including all food, beverages, taxes, and applicable discounts.
• Handle cash, card, and UPI transactions at the counter and ensure correct change is returned to guests on cash payment.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation at the end of each shift and prepare shift cash summary reports for the manager.
• Issue GST-compliant tax invoices to guests who request official bills for business reimbursement purposes.
• Coordinate with the floor captain and service team on table bills, split bills, and group invoice requirements.
• Address guest queries about bill items courteously and escalate disputed charges to the restaurant supervisor.
• Maintain cash drawer security, manage petty cash for operational expenses, and record all transactions accurately.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree in any discipline; commerce or accounting background is preferred for restaurant cashier roles.
• Zero to two years of experience in billing, cash handling, or cashier roles in retail, hospitality, or food service.
• Proficiency in POS billing software used in restaurant operations; familiarity with common systems is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of GST invoice requirements, service charge calculation, and tax component presentation in bills.
• High numerical accuracy and attention to detail in cash counting, card swipe verification, and transaction recording.
• Comfortable operating UPI payment interfaces and card payment terminals used at Coimbatore restaurant counters.
• Good customer-facing communication skills in Tamil and basic English for handling billing queries professionally.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
