📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and submit concrete mix designs for all required grades from M15 to M80 and above as per IS 10262
• Conduct trial batches in the lab to verify mix design targets for workability and strength
• Perform aggregate sieve analysis, specific gravity tests, and flakiness and elongation index tests
• Select and dose chemical admixtures to achieve target slump, flow, and set time requirements
• Test hardened concrete cubes for compressive strength at 3, 7, and 28 days and analyse results
• Optimise existing mix designs for cost reduction using locally available supplementary cementitious materials
• Provide technical support to project sites and customers on mix design adjustments and fresh concrete troubleshooting

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil Engineering from a recognised institution with 1-5 years of concrete mix design or concrete technology experience
• Sound knowledge of IS 10262 concrete mix design procedure and IS 456 exposure and durability requirements
• Hands-on experience in conducting trial batches and aggregate physical property testing
• Familiarity with chemical admixture types including plasticisers, superplasticisers, retarders, and air entraining agents
• Proficiency in maintaining mix design register, trial batch records, and strength test reports
• Knowledge of supplementary cementitious materials including fly ash, GGBS, silica fume, and their effect on mix properties
• Good technical communication skills for presenting mix designs to project engineers and QC teams
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
