📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items assigned to the station during service periods at consistent quality and speed.
• Manage the entire section independently during service including organising mise en place and directing kitchen helpers.
• Follow standardised recipe cards and portioning guidelines strictly to ensure consistency across all outlet servings.
• Plate dishes correctly as per brand presentation standards before passing them to the service team.
• Monitor ingredient levels at the station and report stock requirements to the sous chef before service begins.
• Maintain temperature logs for cooked and stored food items as required under FSSAI food safety standards.
• Train kitchen helpers and commis cooks assigned to the section on basic techniques and hygiene practices.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 12th standard pass or equivalent; diploma in food production from a recognised catering institute preferred.
• One to four years of hands-on experience in a production kitchen in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment including ranges, ovens, fryers, steamers, and grills.
• Knowledge of one or more cuisine types such as South Indian, North Indian, continental, or Chinese.
• Ability to maintain consistent quality and speed during high-volume peak service periods.
• Understanding of FSSAI food safety guidelines including storage temperatures and cross-contamination prevention.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with fellow cooks and service staff during service.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
