📌 Key Responsibilities

• Attend walk-in borrowers and respond to queries about loan status, repayment schedules, and insurance
• Collect and verify KYC documents from new borrowers before loan processing
• Issue loan passbooks, repayment receipts, and no-objection certificates to eligible clients
• Update branch MIS with daily loan applications received, disbursed, and pending
• Coordinate with field officers to resolve borrower grievances and documentation gaps
• Escalate unresolved complaints to branch manager with full case documentation
• Maintain neat and organised borrower physical and digital file records at the branch

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have experience handling customer queries at an MFI or NBFC branch?
• Can you verify KYC documents and identify discrepancies during borrower onboarding?
• Are you proficient in Tamil for daily borrower communication at the branch?
• How do you manage multiple walk-in clients and phone queries simultaneously?
• Do you have experience updating MIS records in a loan management system?
• Are you aware of RBI KYC norms applicable to NBFC-MFI borrower documentation?
• How do you handle a borrower who is unhappy with the loan terms or process?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Graduate degree in any stream for loan officer and field roles (minimum qualification at most MFIs); NISM Series V-A for MFI staff handling mutual fund cross-sell; RBI NBFC-MFI compliance awareness and Responsible Finance guidelines (RBI Harmonised Guidelines 2022) for operations; PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) and KYC awareness for branch roles; credit analysis and cashflow assessment training for credit officer roles; training in JLG (Joint Liability Group) lending methodology; Tamil language fluency required for field-facing roles in Coimbatore
