📌 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design therapeutic diet menus for hospitalised patients based on their clinical condition and physician dietary prescriptions.
• Prepare individual patient diet charts covering calorie requirements, macro and micronutrient distribution, and food restrictions.
• Coordinate with nursing and ward staff to communicate diet orders and ensure correct meal delivery to assigned patient rooms.
• Conduct patient nutrition counselling sessions for dietary education on conditions such as diabetes, renal disease, and cardiac health.
• Oversee enteral and tube feeding protocols for patients unable to consume food orally and monitor intake and tolerance records.
• Review daily hospital canteen menus to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance with FSSAI food safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate diet records in patient files and prepare nutrition assessment reports as required by the medical team.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised institution; Registered Dietician credential is strongly preferred.
• Zero to four years of clinical dietetics experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare catering environment.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets for diabetes, hypertension, renal disease, oncology, and post-operative recovery patients.
• Familiarity with enteral nutrition protocols and tube feed products used in hospital catering and clinical nutrition.
• Strong documentation and clinical communication skills for coordinating diet orders with medical and nursing teams.
• Working knowledge of FSSAI food safety standards applicable to hospital food service environments.
• Ability to counsel patients and family members on therapeutic dietary guidelines in Tamil and English.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
