📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day footwear production floor operations including cutting, lasting, closing, and finishing lines
• Monitor production targets and ensure daily output meets planned manufacturing schedules
• Conduct inline and end-of-line quality checks to identify stitching defects, sole bonding issues, and finishing flaws
• Coordinate raw material requirements including leather, synthetic uppers, soles, and lasts with the stores department
• Manage worker attendance, shift allocation, and output tracking for the production floor team
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for prompt repair of production machinery to minimise line downtime
• Prepare daily production reports covering output, defects, raw material consumption, and line efficiency

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline or Diploma in Footwear Technology, Leather Technology, or Industrial Production
• Two to seven years of footwear or leather goods manufacturing experience in a supervisory or line leader role
• Practical knowledge of shoe production processes including cutting, lasting, closing, and vulcanising or cementing
• Ability to conduct quality checks and identify common footwear production defects
• Strong floor management skills for handling a production team of fifteen to fifty workers
• Familiarity with daily production target setting, line balancing, and output reporting
• ITI or Diploma in Footwear Technology from a government footwear training institute is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
