📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Home Sample Collection Executive positions in Coimbatore's private Diagnostic Centre sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Visit patient homes across assigned Coimbatore zones in early morning hours to collect blood, urine, and other specimens as per the booking schedule.
• Perform venepuncture and capillary blood collection at the patient's residence using sterile technique and correct tube selection for each ordered test.
• Register collected samples using a mobile LIS application, generate barcodes or write accession numbers, and ensure correct labelling before transport.
• Maintain cold chain integrity during transport by placing temperature-sensitive samples in a thermocol cold box with ice packs and delivering within the cold chain TAT.
• Transport collected specimens to the diagnostic centre's pre-analytical reception by the committed handover time to ensure sample quality and report TAT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with patients about test preparation requirements, collection timing, and report availability before and during the home visit.
• Maintain a biohazard transport kit with sealed specimen bags, sharps container, hand sanitiser, and PPE and adhere to safe sharps disposal protocols after each collection.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• DMLT or 12th pass with a phlebotomy certification from a recognised training institute and demonstrated venepuncture proficiency.
• Ownership of a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence for covering assigned home collection zones across Coimbatore suburbs.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work early morning shifts starting from 6 AM to cover fasting blood collection appointments.
• Proficiency with a mobile LIS or collection management application for booking confirmation, sample registration, and barcode generation.
• Knowledge of pre-analytical sample handling including correct tube types, order of draw, mixing requirements, and cold chain transport.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Tamil for handling elderly and paediatric patients in their home environment with patience.
• Awareness of biohazard safety protocols including sharps disposal, sealed specimen transport, and hand hygiene compliance during home visits.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
