📌 Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests at the restaurant entrance with a warm greeting and escort them promptly to assigned tables.
• Manage restaurant reservations via phone, app, and walk-in requests and confirm bookings accurately in the system.
• Maintain the waiting list during peak hours, provide accurate wait time estimates, and manage guest flow efficiently.
• Coordinate with the floor captain and supervisor to communicate table status, VIP arrivals, and special seating needs.
• Handle departure of guests with a warm farewell, collect feedback, and encourage return visits and loyalty programme sign-ups.
• Answer phone inquiries about menu, timing, reservations, and directions in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain neat and presentable appearance of the entrance area, menu display, and waiting lounge at all times.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate degree from any discipline; a hospitality or communications background is valued.
• Zero to two years of experience in a guest-facing role in hospitality, retail, or customer service environment.
• Excellent spoken Tamil and English communication skills with a warm, approachable, and professional demeanour.
• Good personal grooming and presentation standards consistent with the restaurant brand's front-of-house image.
• Ability to manage multiple guest interactions simultaneously while maintaining composure during busy periods.
• Basic knowledge of reservation management systems or willingness to learn the restaurant's booking platform.
• Positive attitude, empathy for guests, and the ability to handle waiting list complaints with patience and tact.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) food handler certificate for all kitchen staff; FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification) for supervisors and managers; First Aid and fire safety certification; Food hygiene and sanitation training; Hotel Management or catering diploma for supervisory roles; Barista and beverage certification for cafe-style F&B roles; Sommelier or WSET certification for fine dining wine service
