📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Lab Technician (Serology/Immunology) positions in Coimbatore's private Diagnostic Centre sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform ELISA-based testing for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), HIV 1&2 antibodies, hepatitis C antibody, dengue NS1 antigen, and other infectious markers on serum samples.
• Execute rapid card tests for malaria antigens, COVID-19 antigens, Widal agglutination, VDRL, and RPR for syphilis screening as per physician requests.
• Operate ELISA plate readers, washers, and incubators, performing calibration checks and recording OD values for interpretation against kit cut-off values.
• Run ELISA-based thyroid function tests (TSH, T3, T4, FT3, FT4) and reproductive hormone panels (LH, FSH, prolactin, testosterone, AMH) on the immunoassay platform.
• Perform quality control checks using kit-supplied positive and negative controls for each ELISA run and document results before patient batch interpretation.
• Confirm reactive screening results using confirmatory assays or repeat duplicate testing as per the reactive result protocol and notify the duty physician.
• Maintain cold chain integrity for ELISA kits and reagents by monitoring refrigerator temperatures and recording daily temperature logs.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• DMLT or B.Sc. MLT with at least one year of practical ELISA and serology testing experience in a diagnostic laboratory.
• Proficiency in performing ELISA procedures including plate coating, sample dilution, incubation, washing, and OD reading and interpretation.
• Knowledge of serological testing for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, dengue, malaria, Widal, VDRL, and syphilis screening in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Experience operating ELISA plate readers and immunoassay platforms for thyroid and reproductive hormone panels.
• Understanding of confirmatory testing protocols for reactive HIV, HBsAg, and HCV screening results in a diagnostic centre.
• Awareness of cold chain requirements for ELISA kit storage and the impact of reagent temperature excursions on assay performance.
• Familiarity with NABL quality documentation requirements for serology testing including QC records and proficiency testing participation.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
