📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with journalists, editors, and media influencers across print, digital, and broadcast channels in Coimbatore and nationally
• Identify compelling story angles from client news, research, and industry developments and craft targeted media pitches tailored to specific journalist beats
• Track media coverage across all platforms daily and maintain accurate records of placements, publication details, and estimated reach for client accounts
• Coordinate all media interview and briefing logistics including scheduling, spokesperson preparation notes, and background material compilation
• Manage media event invitations, press conference logistics, and follow-up communications to maximise journalist attendance and resulting coverage
• Build and continuously update segmented media contact databases covering national, regional, trade, and digital media relevant to each client sector
• Prepare monthly earned media value reports and coverage highlight reels for account managers to present to clients during review meetings

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or any related discipline with strong written and verbal communication skills
• 0 to 3 years of experience in media relations, PR executive work, or journalism with demonstrated ability to pitch stories and track coverage
• Existing working relationships with journalists or editors across Coimbatore's English and Tamil language print and digital media landscape is a strong advantage
• Ability to identify newsworthy angles in client information and adapt pitch messaging to match the editorial interests of specific media outlets
• Strong organisational skills for maintaining media databases, tracking pitching activity across multiple clients, and meeting response deadlines
• Proficiency in using media monitoring and clipping tools to compile accurate daily coverage reports and earned media value calculations
• Comfortable with both written and verbal journalist communication; Tamil language fluency is advantageous for regional media relations in Coimbatore
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
