📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations across all gym chain branches by setting operational standards, defining service delivery protocols, monitoring network-wide KPIs, and driving P and L performance at chain level.
• Own the gym chain's P and L including membership revenue, personal training revenue, ancillary income, operational cost, and EBITDA, and present monthly performance reviews to the founder or CEO.
• Design and execute the network expansion roadmap including new location identification, capex approval, fit-out management, equipment procurement, pre-opening staffing, and branch launch.
• Build and lead the operations management team including area managers and centre managers by defining role expectations, conducting performance reviews, and managing talent development.
• Standardise gym centre operations across all branches by creating operations manuals, SOP documentation, training programmes, and quality audit frameworks for consistent service delivery.
• Drive technology adoption across the gym chain including gym management software implementation, digital membership system upgrades, CRM integration, and operational analytics dashboard deployment.
• Oversee franchise operations support where applicable by providing training, SOP access, performance monitoring, and brand compliance guidance to franchise partner centres.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA from a reputed institution or a graduate with at least 6 years of multi-unit fitness chain, organised retail, or service chain operations management experience including P and L ownership.
• Demonstrated track record of leading gym or fitness chain operations across multiple locations with direct accountability for revenue, team performance, and member experience outcomes.
• Strategic planning capability for network expansion including market assessment, site selection criteria, investment modelling, and pre-opening operational readiness management.
• Strong people leadership skills for building and managing a team of area managers and centre managers across a geographically distributed fitness centre network.
• Experience in operations standardisation including SOP design, operations manual development, staff training programme creation, and quality audit framework implementation.
• Technology management capability for leading gym management system implementations, digital tool adoptions, and operational analytics initiatives across the chain network.
• Financial management skills including annual operating budget ownership, cost per member analysis, capex prioritisation, and EBITDA-level performance reporting for the gym chain.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

ISSA, ACE, NASM or equivalent personal trainer certification for fitness trainer roles; BSc in Physical Education or Sports Science for fitness consultant and trainer roles; nutritional certification from NIN or IGNOU for nutrition counsellor roles; CPR and first aid certification for all gym floor staff; aerobics and group fitness instructor certification for group class roles; yoga TTC (200-hour or 300-hour) for yoga instructor roles; Diploma in Sports Management for centre manager and operations roles; MBA or Graduate for sales, marketing, and centre manager roles; swimming coach certification from Swimming Federation of India for pool roles if applicable
