📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of the cement grinding or building materials plant including production, quality, maintenance, and EHS
• Own plant P and L including production cost, yield improvement, energy consumption, and capex project delivery
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 quality and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems for the plant
• Liaise with regulatory authorities including Factory Inspectorate, TNPCB, and CPCB for compliance renewals and statutory audits
• Handle customer quality audits, BIS certification inspections, and senior technical discussions on product performance
• Drive annual plant shutdown planning, execution, and post-shutdown review for plant reliability improvement
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary plant team across operations, quality, maintenance, EHS, and logistics functions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering with 10-20 years of progressive experience in cement or building materials plant management
• Proven track record of managing plant P and L, production efficiency improvement, and capital project delivery in a cement or building materials setting
• Strong experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management systems in a cement or mineral processing plant
• Excellent stakeholder management skills for regulatory liaison, BIS inspections, customer audits, and corporate reporting
• Experience in leading annual plant shutdown planning and execution with multiple external contractors
• Good knowledge of process safety, dust hazard management, and factory compliance for cement plant operations
• Strong leadership and people development skills for managing plant teams of 50 to 300 employees
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
