📌 Key Responsibilities

• Source kraft paper, BOPP film, polyester film, flexo and gravure inks, and lamination adhesives from approved vendor lists
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple vendors and negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery timelines
• Create and track purchase orders in SAP MM from requisition through GRN and invoice matching
• Monitor vendor delivery and quality performance and escalate deviations to the procurement manager
• Maintain reorder levels for critical materials and alert production planning when stock drops below safety stock
• Coordinate import documentation for imported raw materials including bill of lading, COA, and customs clearance
• Prepare monthly procurement MIS reports covering material costs, vendor performance, and savings achieved

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you evaluate and shortlist a new paper or film supplier for a packaging company?
• Describe the complete PO-to-GRN process you follow for a repeat raw material purchase in SAP MM
• How do you negotiate price reductions when a key ink or adhesive supplier increases rates?
• What is safety stock and how do you calculate the reorder point for a high-consumption packaging material?
• Describe your experience handling import documentation for packaging raw materials
• How do you track and report vendor delivery performance on a monthly basis?
• What cost-saving initiatives have you proposed or implemented in a previous procurement role?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

🏆 Certifications and Qualifications

Diploma or B.E. in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or Mechanical Engineering; BIS packaging standard knowledge (IS 1476 for corrugated boards); ISO 9001 internal auditor; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for prepress; Esko ArtPro or Preps for packaging prepress; FSSAI packaging material compliance for food-grade; CTP (Computer-to-Plate) operation; flexo, gravure, or offset press operator skill; EHS and factory act for safety roles
