📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials including cement, steel, aggregate, bricks, tiles, plumbing, electrical, and finishing materials from approved vendors
• Raise and track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor invoices through ERP or Tally for all project material requirements
• Maintain the site store including receipt, issue, and balance records for all construction materials and consumables
• Conduct daily material reconciliation and prepare material consumption reports for cost monitoring by the project team
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new vendors for competitive pricing, quality, and delivery reliability
• Coordinate with site engineers for material planning and advance procurement to avoid site material shortages
• Prepare and maintain material gate registers, GRN records, and procurement documentation for project audit purposes

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce, Science, or a related field; Diploma Civil or B.E. Civil with store management experience is also considered
• 1-5 years of experience in construction material procurement, store management, or purchase function in a construction or real estate company
• Working knowledge of construction material specifications including cement grades, TMT steel grades, aggregate sizes, and tile and plumbing standards
• Proficiency in Tally ERP or equivalent ERP system for purchase order entry, GRN posting, and material ledger maintenance
• Strong negotiation skills for sourcing construction materials at competitive prices from qualified local and regional vendors
• Good organisational skills for managing a large and varied construction site store with daily issue and receipt transactions
• Ability to prepare material consumption reports, material balance statements, and procurement status MIS for project management review
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
