📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across printing, lamination, slitting, or corrugated converting lines on assigned shift
• Plan daily output targets, allocate operators to machines, and coordinate material availability with store and planning teams
• Monitor OEE parameters including availability, performance, and quality rates across shift machines
• Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and ensure all operators follow machine guarding and PPE requirements
• Investigate production stoppages, quality rejections, and near-miss incidents and report root cause to management
• Implement 5S standards on the shop floor and drive daily housekeeping and audits
• Submit shift production reports covering output, waste, downtime, and headcount to plant management

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you calculate OEE and what would you do if availability dropped below 80 percent?
• Describe your approach to managing a team of 20 operators across two different machines on night shift
• How do you handle a situation where output is below target because of a key machine breakdown?
• What lean manufacturing tools have you applied to reduce waste in a packaging production line?
• Describe a significant quality incident you managed on shift and how you resolved it
• How do you maintain ISO 9001 documentation readiness on the shop floor?
• What is your approach to conducting daily 5S audits and sustaining them over time?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Diploma or B.E. in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or Mechanical Engineering; BIS packaging standard knowledge (IS 1476 for corrugated boards); ISO 9001 internal auditor; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for prepress; Esko ArtPro or Preps for packaging prepress; FSSAI packaging material compliance for food-grade; CTP (Computer-to-Plate) operation; flexo, gravure, or offset press operator skill; EHS and factory act for safety roles
