📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct concrete quality checks including slump test, cube casting, curing, and compressive strength testing at 7 and 28 days
• Test construction materials including cement, sand, aggregate, steel bars, and bricks for compliance with IS code specifications
• Implement and maintain quality control checklists for each construction stage from foundation to finishing
• Conduct non-destructive testing including rebound hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity tests as required
• Prepare quality control reports, material test records, and non-conformance reports for project documentation
• Coordinate with the site engineer and site supervisor to resolve quality deviations at each construction stage
• Review mix design documents and concrete delivery challans for compliance with project specifications

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil Engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution; fresh graduates with strong lab skills and up to 4 years of QC experience considered
• Knowledge of IS 456 quality requirements for concrete and structural construction and standard material testing methods
• Hands-on experience in concrete cube casting, slump testing, aggregate sieve analysis, and steel tensile testing
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods such as rebound hammer and UPV for concrete quality assessment
• Ability to maintain accurate quality records, QC checklists, and test reports for IS code and project compliance
• Good understanding of construction material specifications including OPC/PPC cement, TMT steel bars, and coarse aggregates
• Attention to detail for identifying and documenting non-conformances and following through on corrective actions
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
