📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for QC Lab Analyst positions in Coimbatore's private Cement and Building Materials Company sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform cement quality tests including Blaine fineness, soundness, setting time, and compressive strength as per IS 4031
• Conduct incoming raw material testing for limestone, clinker, fly ash, and slag as per IS codes
• Operate XRF spectrometer and other lab instruments for chemical composition analysis of cement samples
• Test concrete mixes from RMC plant for slump, fresh density, and cube strength at prescribed intervals
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis and lab reports for cement and concrete products
• Maintain calibration records for all lab instruments as per ISO 9001 QMS requirements
• Coordinate with production team for timely material release and test result reporting

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc. Chemistry from a recognised university with minimum 55 percent marks
• Knowledge of IS 4031 cement testing methods and IS 456 concrete quality requirements preferred
• Hands-on experience in Blaine fineness, Vicat needle, Le Chatelier soundness, and compression testing
• Familiarity with XRF operation for cement chemical composition analysis is an advantage
• Accuracy and attention to detail in recording analytical data and preparing QC lab reports
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system documentation and COA preparation
• Good written communication in English for preparing technical lab documents and customer reports
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
