📌 Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming substrates and raw materials against approved specifications using GSM balance, caliper, and visual checks
• Conduct in-process print quality checks for colour accuracy, register, and surface defects using densitometer and spectrophotometer
• Test corrugated board samples for ECT, BCT, and burst factor using shop-floor test equipment
• Apply AQL sampling plans to finished goods batches and raise NCRs for out-of-spec products
• Verify label and carton artwork against approved proofs for text, barcode, and colour accuracy
• Complete quality records, GRN inspection reports, and outgoing quality documentation
• Participate in customer audits and internal ISO quality system audits as required

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you apply AQL Level II single sampling to a batch of 5,000 printed cartons?
• What instruments do you use to measure colour accuracy on printed packaging and what tolerances are acceptable?
• Describe the BIS IS 1476 tests you would perform on corrugated board before releasing to production
• How do you handle a situation where a customer returns a batch citing print colour deviation?
• What is delta-E and what value is considered acceptable for packaging print jobs?
• Describe the difference between in-process quality control and outgoing quality inspection
• How do you verify barcode quality on printed labels against GS1 standards?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Diploma or B.E. in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or Mechanical Engineering; BIS packaging standard knowledge (IS 1476 for corrugated boards); ISO 9001 internal auditor; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for prepress; Esko ArtPro or Preps for packaging prepress; FSSAI packaging material compliance for food-grade; CTP (Computer-to-Plate) operation; flexo, gravure, or offset press operator skill; EHS and factory act for safety roles
