📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Quantity Surveyor / Estimator positions in Coimbatore's private Construction Company sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities for civil, structural, finishing, and external development works from construction drawings
• Conduct rate analysis for all BOQ items using current market rates for materials, labour, and equipment
• Estimate project costs at tender, pre-construction, and construction stages and report cost variances to management
• Maintain and update site measurement books for all executed works and support subcontractor bill verification
• Prepare and process subcontractor running account bills, final account bills, and variation orders
• Use AutoCAD and Excel for drawing-based quantity take-off, cost tracking, and project budget monitoring
• Assist in tender preparation including pricing of BOQ, technical compliance statements, and tender documentation

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 0-4 years of quantity surveying or estimation experience
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation methods, rate analysis, and project cost estimation for residential and commercial building projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing quantity take-off and MS Excel for cost tracking and BOQ formatting
• Familiarity with standard schedule of rates, CPWD DSR data books, and market rate analysis for Coimbatore construction
• Experience in measurement book preparation, subcontractor bill checking, and variation order documentation is preferred
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail for verifying contractor quantities and billing amounts
• Basic understanding of construction contract documents, specifications, and scope of work descriptions
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
