📌 Key Responsibilities

• Register walk-in and appointment patients at the front desk, collect referral prescriptions, and enter patient demographics and test requests accurately in the LIS.
• Generate bills for diagnostic tests ordered, collect payments in cash and digital modes, issue receipts, and maintain daily cash settlement records.
• Coordinate with the collections team and lab departments to communicate sample collection status, pending reports, and STAT result notifications to patients and referring physicians.
• Dispatch printed and digital test reports to patients and referring doctors via email, WhatsApp, and in-person handover with correct report verification.
• Handle patient queries about test preparation, report availability timelines, report interpretation guidance, and re-test requirements with accuracy and empathy.
• Schedule appointments for radiology, ultrasound, ECG, and echo examinations and confirm patient slots with relevant technicians.
• Process home sample collection bookings by recording patient address, test list, preferred time, and assigning to the home collection team coordinator.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline with strong verbal and written communication skills in Tamil and English for patient-facing interaction.
• Proficiency in computer data entry and MS Office applications for billing, report tracking, and correspondence.
• Ability to operate billing software and LIS for patient registration, test order entry, and report dispatch workflows.
• Knowledge of common diagnostic tests and their preparation requirements to advise walk-in patients accurately.
• Experience or aptitude for managing high patient footfall in a busy outpatient front desk environment with patience and professionalism.
• Familiarity with digital payment platforms including UPI, debit card terminals, and corporate insurance billing for corporate tie-up accounts.
• Ability to handle patient grievances, escalate complaints to the centre manager, and maintain a calm and courteous demeanour under pressure.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
