📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead MFI operations across a multi-district or multi-cluster region and own the regional P and L
• Set and drive regional disbursement, collection, and PAR targets through area manager teams
• Develop and mentor area managers to build leadership depth and operational capability in the region
• Monitor regional portfolio health and implement strategic recovery and growth plans as required
• Represent the MFI with district-level stakeholders, lender representatives, and regulatory officials
• Prepare regional MIS, board-ready reports, and business expansion proposals for management review
• Plan and execute new branch expansion and market penetration strategy in assigned regional territories

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How many districts, branches, and total portfolio have you managed as a regional manager or equivalent?
• Describe your experience developing area managers and building leadership capability in a regional MFI team?
• How do you develop and execute a regional portfolio recovery plan during a high-PAR cycle?
• What is your approach to lender and stakeholder relationship management in a multi-district MFI region?
• How do you identify and evaluate new market expansion opportunities in your assigned regional territory?
• Describe a challenging regional P and L situation you managed and the outcome?
• How do you ensure consistent RBI compliance standards across a large and diverse regional branch network?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Graduate degree in any stream for loan officer and field roles (minimum qualification at most MFIs); NISM Series V-A for MFI staff handling mutual fund cross-sell; RBI NBFC-MFI compliance awareness and Responsible Finance guidelines (RBI Harmonised Guidelines 2022) for operations; PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) and KYC awareness for branch roles; credit analysis and cashflow assessment training for credit officer roles; training in JLG (Joint Liability Group) lending methodology; Tamil language fluency required for field-facing roles in Coimbatore
