📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage full restaurant floor operations during the assigned shift including kitchen coordination and service delivery.
• Roster and brief the service team before each shift covering daily specials, service standards, and outlet targets.
• Resolve guest complaints and escalated service issues promptly and ensure appropriate recovery actions are taken.
• Conduct shift opening and closing procedures including cash handover, POS reconciliation, and equipment checks.
• Monitor food and beverage quality from the kitchen pass and address any presentation or quality deviations immediately.
• Perform spot inventory checks on bar, beverage, and dessert sections and report variances to the restaurant manager.
• Document shift reports covering cover count, service feedback, staff performance, and operational incidents.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Hotel Management diploma or degree from a recognised institution with food and beverage service specialisation.
• Two to six years of restaurant service experience with at least one year in a captain or floor leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of eight to fifteen service staff across a full restaurant shift.
• Strong guest complaint handling skills with the confidence to resolve issues independently and prevent escalation.
• Working knowledge of POS billing systems, cash reconciliation, and basic inventory management in a restaurant context.
• Excellent communication in Tamil and English for coordinating with kitchen team, service staff, and management.
• Ability to maintain brand SOPs under pressure during high-cover peak periods and multi-table service scenarios.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
