📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Senior Waiter / Captain positions in Coimbatore's private Restaurant Chain sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a designated floor section and manage the team of waiters and helpers assigned to that area during service.
• Brief service staff before each shift on daily specials, promotions, sold-out items, and service standards expected.
• Handle guest complaints and escalated service issues diplomatically and ensure satisfactory resolution without delay.
• Monitor table turnover, cover management, and waiting list to maximise floor capacity during peak hours.
• Upsell high-margin menu items, beverages, and desserts to guests and coach team members on upselling techniques.
• Ensure correct table setting, service sequence, and grooming standards are maintained by all floor staff on shift.
• Complete shift handover reports, record cover counts, guest feedback, and key incidents for the supervisor's review.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 12th pass minimum; hotel management or food service diploma strongly preferred for captain-level roles.
• Two to five years of restaurant floor service experience including at least one year in a senior or lead service role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a floor section team of three to eight service staff during full-service operations.
• Strong guest communication and complaint resolution skills with a calm and solution-oriented demeanour.
• Good product knowledge across food and beverage menu to support team during service and handle guest queries.
• Proficiency in POS billing systems and basic shift reporting documentation.
• Leadership presence to enforce service standards while maintaining a positive and cooperative team environment.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
