📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assess damaged footwear brought in by customers and provide accurate repair cost estimates
• Perform sole replacement, resoling, and heel block or tip replacement on leather and synthetic footwear
• Stitch torn uppers, repair broken seams, and replace insoles and lining on customer footwear
• Use shoe stretching equipment to widen or lengthen tight-fitting shoes as per customer request
• Apply adhesive bonding, cement construction repair, and welt stitching techniques for durable repairs
• Polish, condition, and finish repaired footwear to restore original appearance
• Maintain repair workshop tools, adhesives, and material stocks in a clean and organised state

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI certificate in Leather Technology, Footwear Technology, or Cobbler trade from a recognised institution
• One to five years of hands-on shoe repair and cobbling experience in a retail or standalone workshop
• Proficiency in sole replacement, resoling, heel replacement, and upper stitching techniques
• Familiarity with both cement construction and welt construction footwear repair methods
• Ability to work with leather, synthetic, rubber, and combination footwear materials
• Attention to finishing quality to ensure repaired footwear meets customer expectations
• Candidates with apprenticeship training in cobbling or leather workshop environments are eligible
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
